Here's the true test of the motives in your heart:

Would you still write if no one was reading it?

How do you act when you don't think anyone is watching?

A true posture of humility.

Philippians 2:3 TPT

"Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only HARM your CHERISHED UNITY. Don't allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic HUMILITY put others first and view others as MORE important than yourselves." (emphasis was my own)

I was in a staff meeting the other day, thinking about the people around me and how blessed I am to learn from them and grow as a leader with them. Then I starting thinking about something so small that I used to practice but I no longer do: I've been walking into rooms with the heart posture that I have little to learn. I'm not sure where or when I picked up this prideful nature, but I did. And as I sat in that staff meeting, I realized I still have so much to learn.

Jesus walked into rooms as the least of all, the servant of all.

I am recommitting to walking into the room believing I have something to learn. I have something to gain from the people around me, even if they're younger in age or program years or whatever. I want to be humble enough to acknowledge that I can always learn something.

Pride is tricky. It can slip in your heart without you even noticing it.

I'm actually the worst at remembering I even have a blog, so I apologize for those of you that haven't seen anything from here in a while. My heart is heavy with conviction as I write this because I've ignored this for so long. Even if no one reads it, I will continue to post. Even if it seems like it's doing no good, I will continue to share what I'm learning.

It seems simple enough, but it isn't exactly easy to come on here and share all the places I'm not measuring up in. LOL. On top of pouring into my girls, helping to lead them further into who God has called them to be. And the Dream Center is currently wild right now with COVID and emergency serving and just crazy stuff. If you ever want more information on what I'm doing, please feel free to reach out :)

Also, last thing. I'm fully believing that whoever reads this NEEDS to see it, because I'm not going to post that I updated this or anything. SO if you read this, hi! He is for you and He sees you. Is there any pride hiding in your heart? It's sneakier than we think.

All love!!!! Stay safe!!!
